Everyone in Tokyo knew that Izaya was a smart kid. If he hadn't been one, he probably wouldn't have survived all those years of pissing off random people at whim. There were many who wanted to know the secret of his success - especially those who had to deal with Heiwajima Shizuo, as Orihara was probably the only person still alive who had made the blond angry beyond imagination and had survived the Armageddon that followed

If it wasn't for great mood, ten minutes later he would have regretted his choice. For some reason, his feet didn't seem to work properly, as they were making him stumble every now and then. His head was making it even worse: sparkles were floating in front of his eyes and he had to stop from time to time to cool off his spinning thoughts.
Orihara wasn't really bothered by all that - he was humming something happily, enjoying the crazy ideas his brain was projecting in front of his eyes (so far, the image of Shizu-chan in a maid outfit was his favourite). However, the worst had yet to come - in a form of a certain debt collector (because the cake was a lie). Just when Izaya was starting to wonder why the world suddenly started moving from left to right, a loud „a-ha!” pierced his ears

Izaya cocked his head. „What do you meeeaaan, my poor Shizuuuu-chan? The sun is right here! Come on, just loooook at it!”, Orihara said in a cute voice (which absolutely didn't mean Heiwajima found him adorable at this very moment, all flushed and spinning and - hell no), while pointing his finger at the closest lamppost.
The blond's brilliant mind told him that something was wrong.
Shizuo slowly lowered his makeshift weapon. „Wait a second. This is a freakin' lamppost, you do realize that, right?”, Heiwajima asked, slowly coming closer to Izaya. The fact that Orihara didn't even move an inch to put some distance between them was confusing him even more

Heiwajima would have blinked in confusion if he wasn't used to Orihara saying things that made - well, at least for him - no sense whatsoever. "As in, there is a person named Humanity? Is he a foreigner?", the blond asked softly, looking at Izaya, who was looking more and more pale with every passing minute. He's probably not used to drinking much, Shizuo realized, and now his body was slowly getting sick because of the alcohol overdose.
"Nnnnoooo, Shizu-chan... Humanity, you know, everybody. Everybody made me drunk", Izaya explained in a really quiet voice, staring at something close to the blond's shoulder which probably wasn't even there.
"I can see this... humanity getting drunk after realizing that somebody like you exist, but the other way around?", Heiwajima commented matter-of-factly, making the louse's eyes go wide. Izaya opened his mouth, as if to say something and suddenly, he launched himself on the blond. Heiwajima reacted immediately and a second later, he was ready to punch Orihara's brains out - but to Shizuo's

„Come on, your life isn't that bad. Well, at least, uh... You are smart?”, Shizuo offered, almost begging the higher powers to lend him a helping hand or something. Orihara answered with a whimper, his head still pressed against Heiwajima's chest, but now his hands let out of the bartender's outfit and wrapped around the blond's waist instead.

This was bad, really bad. Shizuo didn't care much about his reputation (it was bad enough already, so it's not like it could get any worse), but the mere idea of being spotted with the bastard, of all people, was almost making him sick.
Tbe blond's face went pale when he finally saw and recognized the coming passerby. It was Tom, his freakin' boss, with a garbage bag in his hand.
Izaya gasped from surprise when Heiwajima dived behind a rubbish bin, pressing Orihara's body to his chest while at it. Shizuo was pretty sure he was trembling when Tom, oblivious to the blond's desperate situation, started humming something to himself.
See, heaven people, and this is why I'm an atheist, Heiwajima thought to himself, cursing Orihara, who started making himself comfortable with his hands on Shizuo's neck. Well, at least he stayed silent. For nowTom threw the garbage bag near the bin behind which they were hiding, and Shizuo breathed a sigh of relief. His boss hadn't noticed them. Maybe there was justice in this world, after all

Heiwajima Shizuo was a brave man.
However, even his courage was not something that could stand up to a very drunk and clingy Izaya.
If the bastard was at least throwing knives at him, everything would be right with the world. Shizuo would smirk, fetch a vending machine and throw it at Orihara. The louse would evade all his punches, and run away, and Heiwajima would catch up to him. Vending machine time. Repeat until one of them died. Simple.
However, the blond could not do anything to Izaya when he was defenselessly (and kinda cutely, but he didn't say that) leaning on his shoulder. Even if it made his search for keys a bit difficult. Even if they were standing in front of his apartment. Where everybody could see them.
Heiwajima made a very rude comment when he finally found his keys - they were in the pocket of his trousers, where he had put them after closing his apartment in the morning, go figureAfter he made sure that no one had seen them, Shizuo quickly pushed Orihara inside and closed the door with a loud slam.

„You are so no allowed to get clingy on me”, the blond growled despite knowing full well that it was way too late for mentioning this, as Orihara was already making himself comfortable on Heiwajima's shoulder. After a while of struggling with rage mixed with something he didn't want to name yet, the blond put his hand on the bastard's arm, supporting him and at the same time making sure Izaya was not humping him accidentally.
Let's make it quick, or who knows what might happen, Shizuo thought, remembering with a shudder what some drunken people had tried to do right in front of his eyes when he had been still working as a bartender. „Kitchen is there”, Heiwajima explained, pointing at the closest door and Orihara answered with a blink, then stared at the blond. „A kitten?”, Izaya asked in a cute way - well, in a drunk way, actually, but Shizuo's mind stopped discriminating between these two states an hour ago or so

The blond couldn't stop staring at Izaya's flushed face. „I'm going to sleep on the couch”, Heiwajima said, trying to sound as sure and full of self-control as possbile. When Izaya's head bowed cutely to the left, he already knew he failed at convincing both Orihara and himself that he was as cool as cucumber.
Shizuo almost winced when his brain decided to show him an image of a certain part of his body that was more likely to become - maybe not as cool, but at least as hard as cucumber if Izaya's show of cuteness was about to continue.
Heiwajima didn't like it. Didn't like it at all. He especially didn't like it when Orihara moved himself on top of Shizuo's body and positioned his head close to the blond's face, so close, he could feel his hot breath
