It was warm in the closet, their bodies squashed together in the cramped space. Izaya could smell dust and polish and Shizuo. The Headmaster’s footsteps echoed down the corridor, slowly fading before disappearing altogether. Izaya smirked up at Shizuo (who wouldn’t have noticed anyway since his eyes hadn’t adjusted to the shadows as naturally as Izaya’s) and was about to suggest they left in the most cocky manner he could muster when he noticed how unnaturally still his reluctant companion had become ( ... )

I started drafting a follow up, but this feels like a natural conclusion to me so it'll probably be a seperate fic. I feel bad about how short it is though, I meant to have more general daily life scenes but didn't have much time.
