And what would hurt him more than if this punishment was carried out by his own brother? Honestly? Nothing. When he woke up, he felt the heat of another body pressed against his back, with one arm curled around his stomach and the other folded in front of its owner’s chest. The sound of his breathing was gentle, but not quite as gentle as if he were sleeping. There was only one person it could be. But why? The horror he felt in his body and the throbbing he felt in his head told him that it had not been a horrible dream. It had been real. He had violated his brother.

Then why was Tsugaru here, so close to him?

He couldn’t help but swallow, otherwise he knew he would drown in emotion.

“You’re awake,” the other whispered softly.

Delic was afraid to turn around. He was afraid to face his poor, broken sibling.

Coward.His breath rattled as he took it in. “Tsugaru…” The name felt too delicate for his lips, as if he could scratch it on his heathen tongue. “I don’t know what to say.” ‘Sorry’ wouldn’t be enough. A million ‘sorry’s wouldn’t be enough ( ... )

He watched his brother reach up and rub at his tears. The memory of those beautiful blue eyes, drowning in a sea of pain that he had inflicted… It made his own tears spill forth with renewed sadness. He sat up, trying to hide his face from his brother. He didn’t deserve to share in his misery.

After a long silence, “I still love you, Delic.”

The stir those words caused him quickly died under his massive guilt. “You can’t. This isn’t the kind of thing you can forgive.”

Tsugaru sat up too and said loudly, “That’s not up to you!”

He tried not to give in to the desire to listen. He knew he wanted to be forgiven.
