Now that President Bush has helped tilt the Supreme Court to the right, watch out. They had always allowed abortions in case of medical emergency, when the woman's life was at stake. Now that has changed.

I helped support one of my friends when she went through an abortion. It was an emotionally devastating time for her. She cried the whole time. To have government limit your options in that situation is worse.

It sure seemed like the ruling sets a precedent for further government bans. I didn't read much of the decision but it seemed like the court ruled the government has a legitimate interest in abortion bans.
