A thought on anime/manga

I just realized that
a) there are only eight female characters in Death Note that have any dialogue or personalities and
b) that only one of them gets anything close to resembling a happy ending.

We have one disc (5 eps) left in the anime of Death Note, and I must say, the way things are going, (b) does not surprise me at all. I'm just trying to guess in my head who it's going to be. LOL (No spoilers!)
