Most of the prep sink is complete. There's a long way from roughed-in to complete, at least from a quality perspective. For those of you who have had professionals install a kitchen, did they locate the holes perfectly, or do they rely on escutcheon/plates to hide the water line, drain, and electrical penetrations?
About the prep sink. A little feature creep:
- We need a prep sink.
- We need an undermount prep sink.
- We need an undermount prep sink with a garbage disposal.
- We need an undermount prep sink with a garbage disposal, and maybe add an instant hot water dispenser.
That last one is WBN (Would Be Nice). We have to draw the line somewhere.
Anita has been working leveling and adjusting the base cabinets. She found one that was incorrectly built - the left side was a little less deep than the right side. She's also been getting the stovetop ready for installation. I foresee running a gas line to it later this week.
One other thing, we are doing full countertop mockups with 3/4" plywood. What we spend in time and money, we will recoup as we avoid usability oopses. And let us not forget when they come to measure for the real countertops, we'll hopefully avoid any of those miscommunications or measuring errors.
