so tonight, i did a software update and kept getting the setup assistant at boot.

i was freaking out, and a little miffed that the apple care i paid for for is only available m-f

a quick google search revealed that this was a 10.5 known issue. A safe boot. and a restart fixed it all. whew.

M-F Apple Care? Is this new? Because when I was having airport card issues with my iBook, I distinctly remember speaking to them on Saturday and Sunday.

I don't know, that is what the recording said. It was the first time I ever tried to call, and I didn't really expect to get someone that late, but I thought I would be able to call back during the day at the very least.

Years ago I had a PC made by digital, and since they also sold a lot of enterprise class stuff they had 24 hour support so i would deliberately call them at 2 in the morning because I would get a person right away.
