The Last Day of LISA... we started with Black Ops 2006: Pattern Recognition by Dan Kaminsky. It was a great hi-end discussion, very theoretical, and I am excited to see if the theory makes a transition into real tools (as opposed to Dan's Code) some time down the road in the next bunch of years. Well, CZ#2, it sounds like you had a great time. I even understood some of what you're talking about here. ;-)

I was reading and thinking "Alva L. Couch sounds vaguely Potterish", and then you go and make a reference to the Time Turner. Hee.

The one time I got to go to D.C. for some training I was also awed by the Smithsonian, and worried by the metro system.

Here's hoping you get to go again in '07.

Yes.. I didn't take my camera (on purpose) but Ken had a whack load of pictures, I told Ken I was going to steal them, and claim them as my own since I was there too when they were being taken :) as soon as he gets them to me I'll be posting them up.. got some great shots in the Museam of Natural History, and in the Air and Space Museam.... I am actually quite surprised by how small some of those planes and jets are... but it was awesome none the less..

Where was I, oh yes One of the Female SysAdmin's who was with us went on a rant about the sorority girls, comparing them to twinkies... Not real, no Nutritional value...

I interjected with ... and filled with white cream?

Ouch, burn. Glad you had a good time....if it had been me, I would have just "accidently" spilled something on the dresses of various girls...
