Drake and I were now allowed to be held in the same area since we were no longer needed as witnesses, so there was no way we could collaborate our stories. Kara was refusing to show up today at all. Today was the day that the verdict fell, and that should be shaking our worlds. Kara was just at work, shaking her ass ( Read more... )

Is this from the last chapter? I like this whole paragraph:

Drake's head dipped and his shoulders overtook it. I slid to the floor where he had been kneeling and let him rest his head in my lap. For what it's worth, at that moment, we were just two prisoners seeking solace.

That's really touching imagery. Some of it's a little over-angsty. But that last paragraph is like, actions speak louder than words, and it works really well in this scene. If I'm making sense to you.

Do you know how or where you're going to publish it? (But both Rocky and I agree, if you're planning on publishing then you should take it off fictionpress.)

It is and it's also me trying to play with some existential concepts. My favorite one is that you are never who you are truly meant to be until you are dead or dying.

(Well, first off, if you have writer's block, it's usually easier to go completely over the top than focus on making something realistic) I wasn't really trying for touching...I was thinking more along the lines of the fact that they are both just giving up, Drake on life and Dru on people. I want this scene to play into the 'no good deed goes unpunished' idea from Wicked. You know, just because it's technically a "good deed" doesn't mean that person is not going to hate you for doing that thing, even if it's right by your book. But that's my interpretation, you're obviously getting something completely different here, but that's good. >_o

I really don't know, but I will. I'm determined! (I know, but it's easier for me to transfer chapter material between houses if it's on fictionpress for the time being.)

Somewhat like House's theory on how there is only absolute truth in a person who is dying.

(Yeah, I'm figuring that out.) I said touching because it was sad! But I have not read the chapter before this. (Dooon't kill me! I just haven't had time!) I have been reading. Promise.

If you want, next bookswapcirclet we can do a theme. Or, each person can pick their own theme, if they're currently interested in it or writing about it. ex, existential concept, objectivity. I dunno, would this help? Would this interest you?

You can also email chapters to yourself. XD
