In the interest of any still reading I will use a cut to hide the story of the weekend - I will be try not to provide spoilers but I'll say to much I'm sure so enter only when you have finished.
The weekend started with me getting up reasonably early for a saturday and I was at the bookstore at 8.20am for a 9 O'clock release, this I think was just about the optimal time to arrive I waited just under an hour to get my copy while those in front and behind were going to be waiting much longer (in the next 20 minutes the line doubled and then probably doubled again by 9!) It was amusing to watch the town cryer anouncing the time counting down but he could play his buggle which I think I alone in the 20 odd people surrounding me appreciated. The bookstore decided to have a sorting hatdoing the length of the que. The kid next to me pulled out Ravenclaw I pulled out Gryffindor we looked at each other and immediately swapped :-D.
Unfortuneatly I had planned a road trip for the weekend so I didn't get much potter in on saturday, about a hundred pages followed by about 150 on sunday. so after a long day yesterday I sat up half the night reading to finish so No one would spoil anything.
So DD wasn't a saint (no surprise there), Harry didn't have the whole story about DD and had to figure a lot out himself (same old really), Snape was as always a shade of grey (Neither side of the whole he is good or he is evil factions really won that argument)
The deaths disappointed me a little with the strong going.
The whole epilouge for mine was set at the wrong point in time and I agree with Daiq that it was down to end the shipper war and was in itself to short to be effective so either needed to be longer or non existent in my view.
I'll leave my other thoughts for another time when I have reread knowing what I now look for to answer my questions.
