You know what comic is far superior when read in single issue format across several months rather than in trades? Runaways (BKV Runaways, less the Whedon stuff). It's good in trades, no question, but the suspense of each issue with the mole and all really made you look forward to the next issue, but gave you a month to mull over each new clue.
I feel the same about RASL. If there wasn't a gap of three months between issues one and two, I probably wouldn't have reread the issue I have so many times, and mulled over what is actually going on.
