The company I worked for there were 2 different ways, one with set shifts and one were you made up your own times (but you also had to do your own taxes from what I remember.) You had to have a headset for a hard-line phone, no cordless phones allowed, incase the power went out the phone would still work. You have to have a quiet room. You called the companies phone number and they connect you to their equipment, it is automatic, this away only the companies phone number shows up. Depending on the job there are conference calls, with the possibility of multiple callers and "agents." Agents is what the company called the employees. There are also 1-on-1 calls. The people who make up their own times are only 1-on-1. The company I used to work for also had psyhic calls, but they were only independent workers, and I don't really know much about them. I can't tell you much about answering calls, I worked as a supervisor, but I did have to listen to calls and most were boring, a few were freaky. I worked the grave yardshift (

Sales but I am the first to admit I am not comfortable with cold calls, or up-selling of products
