Quaaludes were used heavily in the 70's and much like the soma's that are on the market today only more potent. Serious downers. They are the opposite of preludes (sp?) which is a type of speed pill. I don't think they were banned I think that doctors started using other drugs to prescribe people... not like it made a difference drugs are drugs and drug users are going to take whatever.
