How do you get on methadone? Do you just find a methadone clinic and tell them that you're a junky then they give it to you? I hear it's expensive, but this whole withdrawls thing is getting old.

methadone's not that expensive in comparison to smack. like $10/day. u go there, sometimes u have to pay an up front fee, they drug test u to make sure u have opiates in yr body, and then figure out what dose to start u on.

i tried to get methadone after being clean a month and they told me i had to actually be withdrawing at the time or they couldn't give it to me. So basically you just find a clinic and go in when you're withdrawing and they will have you talk to a counselor and then a doctor who will decide how much to give you. i found the methadone clinic i went to by doing a google search for methadone clinics in my area. I was trying to withdraw from smack about 3 weeks ago and got some methadone... it didn't work out. But yeah what they said.. they will give it to you at a clinic if you are withdrawing.

in austin, its 50-60 a week depending on which clinic. thats just austin, though.
