List 10 bands/singers you like before you read the questions and then do the questions.
1. The Violent Femmes
2. Atmosphere
3. Metric
4. Coheed and Cambria
5. Every Time I Die
6. Panic! At The Disco
7. HORSE the Band
8. Voltaire
9. Mindless Self Indulgence
10. Primus

What was the first song you ever heard by 6? "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage"

What is your favourite album of 8? Tough one... Probably The Devil's Bris, since I've actually heard that whole album and really liked all of it.

What is your favourite lyric of 5?
"Here's to cheap sex and codeine
In a hospital bed
And maybe I'd object if I felt at all alive"

How many times have you seen 4 live? Never. I really want to, though. D:

What is your favourite song by 7? That's a tie between "Cutsman" and "A Million Exploding Suns".

Is there a song of 3 that makes you sad? "Calculation Theme" is really sad. I didn't like it at first because of the really simple tune, but after listening to it a few times and paying attention to the lyrics, I really loved it.

What is your favourite lyric of 2?
"It goes one litte, two litte, three little indie rap
Headphones, backpack, watch 'em all piggyback
Switch up my styles, they all complain
But see which kids next year sound the same as me
The same shit, yesterday was like today
The only difference is I trust even less of what you say
But all in all, I still make the noise
I still break the toys, I still hate your voice
I still say fuck a major label 'til it limps
Put your deal up on our table and we'll show you who's the pimp
There is no sympathy for the careless
Fuck the extra credits and fuck the demerits
Class dismissed"

What is your favourite song by 9? "Backmask" definitely.

How did you get into 3? I heard "Combat Baby" on Gaian Radio and really enjoyed it, since it's hard to find good bands with female vocalists, so I checked out some more of their music.

What was the first song you heard by 1? Well, I'd heard "Blister In The Sun" a lot on the radio of course, but I never knew who it was by. Then I heard about the band from a friend and the first song I heard was "Kiss Off" and I was hooked from there, especially once I found out that they did "Blister In The Sun", too.

What is your favourite song by 4? Fuck. That's really hard... I haven't heard a Coheed song that I haven't liked. I'll just pick one from each album. From The Second Stage Turbine Blade, "Delirium Trigger". I love the title track from In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3. And from Good Apollo: I'm Burning Star IV - Vol I, From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness, I think it's a toss-up between "The Willing Well III: Apollo II - The Telling Truth" and "The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut", although really the whole CD flows together and feels like one huge song, especially The Willing Well tracks.

How many times have you seen 9 live? Never.

What is a good memory concerning 2? Well, listening to them has been a pretty cool experience for me, since before I listened to them, I had that typical "can't spell crap without rap/RAP = Retards Attempting Poetry" sort of attitude. Atmosphere really turned me on to the other, less mainstream rap artists, like Aesop Rock and Sage Francis, among others.

Is there a song by 8 that makes you sad? A lot of his songs are kinda sad, either in that they are genuinely sad stories, or in that they are sad because what he is saying about the world is true. I think the one really sad song that comes to mind is "Where's The Girl?", because I think it really captures the feeling of despair mixed with anger that you can feel when someone that you fell in love with (or thought they fell in love with) changes into a whole different person, and all you want is to have that original feeling back. "God Thinks" is (while funny and highly sarcastic) also rather sad when you realize that his whole point with the song is that there are people who honestly do think like that.

What is your favourite song of 10? "Sgt. Baker". I just like the overall feeling of the song.
