Just got back from Lowes where I was placing my order for carpet on the stairs....finally. Once that's done, the major home renovation projects I've been working on for a few years, will be done. You think I'll be able to live here and just dust and sweep? Probably not but the next project that is going to be done is the master bathroom and that'

England is going to be so awesome. I've been wanting to go for many years and knowing people over there makes it even better. Pictures? Did you say you'll want to see pictures? Be careful what you ask for...;)

I only say this because that bathroom looks fabulous, especially that shower. You will have some very lucky and impressed guests.
I am working on suggestions. And capping grumpy volcanoes.

Sure! Put me to work 'round the house, take me sightseeing and feed me (and Mr Gilpin) and I'll consider my vacation in England a success. ;)
What are you planning for your bathroom? Is it just going to be a quick cosmetic touch up or a major renovation? I highly recommend the rainshower-type shower heads. It's so nice to stand under the water and have it gently rain down. Ahhh. The only drawback is that when you shut them off, they tend to drip for quite a while so no toweling off in the shower!
I'm writing a strongly worded letter to Iceland as soon as I get my dates settled so their pesky volcanos don't interfere with my holiday.

First their banks cause chaos with our economy, now they're burying us in ash. And we're always so nice to them in the Eurovision Song Contest!

You did a terrific job with your bathroom! Did you have to spend a fortune to do it, if that's not too personal a question? You must have saved a bundle doing so much of the labor yourself.

Shower installs can take a few weeks and may need a professional plumber but if you feed and board me, we may be able to work something out. I don't change diapers, tho' ;)
I think the final tally for the entire room came to just over $3500. The most expensive part were the shower walls. I got an incredible deal on the glass shower enclosure that you would be proud of. Plus the plumber who moved the drain and re-routed the water pipes was a friend of my dads so he went easy on me. Doing a lot of the work yourself does save a ton.
