As i was saying...

Despite appearances to the contrary, I am not in a "fewest and farthest between" LJ post competition with gilpin25 (Which I won, BTW.) I can't tell you how many posts went through my head that never made it to the keyboard. They were all brilliantly witty and full of charming stories and I'm sorry you'll never get to read them.

Here's hoping LJ behaves itself better tomorrow! Heh.

Went pretty smoothly tonight except instead of a new post I inadvertently edited the previous one instead! I really am out of practice.

Also on Wednesday, LJ destroyed a lengthy, time consuming review I'd done as soon as I pressed post. Hope you didn't call it as many rude names as I did and that it behaves itself tonight.

BTW, I have seen a film called The King's Speech at long last. I think it's something you might like. ;P

Sorry to hear about your lost post. LJ was behaving very badly and I did have some choice words which may be why things went better tonight.

I heard that movie was pretty good. Wasn't the guy from Pride & Prejudice in it? I'm curious to see the "family friendly" version we Americans had foisted on us but I don't think it's in the theaters anymore so I'll just have to be content with the profane version.

Aw, what a lovely pic pic of Gomez! He certainly looks as though he's found cat heaven in drumher's Furry Friend Hotel. I deeply regret that you haven't come to England as well to a)have a holiday and b)fix our bathroom up as nice as yours looks already.

I thought The King's Speech was excellent, with wonderful all round performances (save Timothy Spall, who appeared to play Churchill as Peter Pettigrew with three chins), and a really uplifting, moving film to see. Though I'm not entirely sure I could have been uplifted 12 times, lol. I must admit one of my favourite moments was when Colin came face to face with Jennifer Ehle: I half expected cries of "Darcy!" and "Elizabeth!" and "How come you're married to Geoffrey Rush now then?"

(Which I won, BTW.)

The year is still young for our competition in LJ tardiness. I'm aiming to do my post on Monday as not a lot of time going to download pics at the weekend, but then there has already been a lot of aiming this year and not much target hitting.

You might want to change the date on this ( ... )

My sister-in-law has been posting pics of her travels in England (went over for family wedding) and I'm feeling rather jealous. I'm gonna get there one day and then I'll have pictures to post (like bathroom demo at the Gilpin home) to make her jealous! ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed TKS, even if you only saw it once. ;) I've read reviews that gush over Timothy's Churchill, but I didn't get it either. Fortunately, his was a small part. I did love the Pride & Predjudice/Harry Potter connections in the cast. I wonder if Darcy/Bertie realized he married Bellatrix? Shame they didn't have a place for Alan Rickman. He could've been the Archbishop... without the tonsure look.

When you say Monday, did you mean two days ago or next Monday?

Thanks for the suggestion on changing the date. It was easy enough to do and judging from the lack of response, well worth the effort. ;) I need to get back in the habit so I don't shock people quite so much.

Gomez says thank you for the compliment.

Did you spot how I cunningly didn't narrow it down to any Monday in particular? (Or any year, for that matter.) I was aiming for this one just gone, of course, but think I'm now looking at posting after the holiday as we're due to hit the road in 24 and a bit hours and there is as yet only air in my suitcase.

I'll be seeing TKS again as, still running with cunning plans, it's my dad's DVD gift for Father's Day. The one that he'll get to share with his daughter.

Do you think people don't recognize our names any more?! It does seem very quiet at the moment in LJ Land, which I'm sure is the main cause.

Must go as I'm not even supposed to be logging on and getting distracted, but I got to spend five minutes looking at your Bates/Anna icon and thinking of Love in the Pantry. :D
