I do not think you know your value, my friend. Anytime you are not around in the SCA, there is a whole. It is not that it can not be filled, but you leave a whole anytime you are not there.

I do understand the WMA vs SCA split, especially here in the Midlands. It is about people and history. You can change it because it is not a real thing. But you will be dealing with history. Then there is that whole pesky time factor. If we could just only live a martial life and not have to worry about the mundane, we might have enough time for the all the choices.
