IT'S OVAAAAAAAAR! I finished my first EE 324 exam. YAY! I have to celebrate now because when I get it back I won't be celebrating. Heh.
I finally found the frigging cables for the experiment board after I looked in... 5 places. The prof said they were everywhere and I believed him because THEY'RE JUST SERIAL AND PARALLEL PORT CABLES. THERE ARE SERIAL AND PARALLEL PORTS ON ALL PCs. IT'S A VERY STANDARD THING! Alas, they were not to be found. First I tried the campus compy store. No go. They had no serial cables and only one parallel port to printer end cable. Then I hopped in my car and drove over to WalMart, where I expected to find both because Dr. Sal said, and I quote, "You can get these at Walmart, the bookstores, Bestbuy, etc.. Walmart is the cheapest. I think the sell for $4.00 to $5.00, each." OR THEY DON'T SELL THEM AT ALL! (I love that we call him Dr. Sal. I had him for EE 311 a year ago - he's the first prof I've ever had twice. His name is Dr. Salvadore Riggio, but to his students he's Dr. Sal. Bwahaha) Walmart didn't have any serial cables, either, and they too only had the printer parallel port cable. So I drove across the street to BestBuy, which had no serial cables and, although they had a parallel port cable that wasn't a printer cable, it was MALE TO MALE! I needed MALE TO FEMALE! Who the $*%% needs a $*(#ing male to male but not male to female!??!!? That was the end of my search for the day, I had better ways to waste my time. Like doing the stat homework. Then today, after my 8am 324 lecture, I walked to the HUB bookstore where they had neither kind of cable. Hoo-frickin-ray. After 3 more stops at random buildings trying to find a compy lab that wasn't full, I walked all the way back home and hopped in my car again to drive over to RadioShack, which I hadn't though of yesterday. I got there right at 10am, which is when they open, only they hadn't opened the store yet. I waited. They opened. I asked the guy and VOILA! BOTH CABLES!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!! I can FINALLY hook my board up and do my lab report!! It was so nice of Sal to tell us one week before we had to have this done that we had to get these cables which don't even exist except in the Twilight Zone that is RadioShack. Good. Grief.

I just tried out the free trial of Ocean Fish Feline Greenies I got on my kitties. They LOVED it. This is good, because Pebbles has a slight tartar problem and Greenies are supposedly good for their teeth. I forgot to ask the vet about them specifically. I'll do that when I take her in to get her teefies cleaned. Apparently I got them all riled up because they are currently chasing each other through my room. CAT FIGHT.
