Despite the fact joya has already made a post about the happenings of last night, I am making my own, purely for the sake of my own memories.
Ok so we drive to charlotte yada yada who cares.
So we get to tremont and there are literally 0 people there and its raining. So we sit by the door underneath the shelter thing and attempt to entertain ourselves for an hour and a half. Katherine and simpson show up and go hang out with one of their connection friends. 2 dudes show up and spend the majority of the time playing the audition on their phone and singing along. They were nice though.
So we finally get inside and go sit on the stage. 1997 started. They are really cute and really good. I got sweat like dumped on me by the guitar player. There were literally droplets. I also almost lost my face to the wrath of his guitar. There was a lot of tripping and laying on the ground, but their set was good.
So then the graduate comes on. By then I have noticed quite an attractive male behind me. So I wasn't really impressed by the graduate. They just kind of reminded me of muse. At one point during their set I see the cute boy looking around me so I turn at him and he was like " is the lead guy wearing courderoys?" lmao. He actually was too. The end of their set was cool, very forgive durden-esque.
Then new atlantic goes on. My hate for this band overrides my hate for pretty much any other band in the world minus like 30stm. They were all douchey as usual. I realize that the drummer is quite attractive though, which is nice.
So then monty are I goes on. MOST ENTERTAINING THING I HAVE EVER SAT THROUGH IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Sarah got like face molested by the bass player and then there was hair to hair molestation between his bangs and mine. It was the weirdest thing I've ever encountered. It was hilarious though. the guitar player made joya play his guitar. Hilarious set. At some point during it I heard the cute boys friend say to him "he's not your type" about one of the dudes in monty are I, leading me to believe he was gay. Ahah the trombone/keyboard player was hilarious. He would pick up his trombone and he danced hilariously with it. Then he would put it down. I honestly wasn't sure if he was going to play it or just dance with it.
So finally the audition goes on. Absolutely amazing. I have never had a bad time at a show of theirs. They played smoke and mirrors and I died. Seth was as drooly as ever. Danny still looked like a fish. I danced SO much during their set. I like freaked out. The dude beside sarah was totally pulling a ill will hairboy. He like made his hands a book then held up his finer for "chapter one takes place..." and then held his nostril for "the devils just like cocaine." So basically I just laughed at him a lot.
After the show we hung out and decided who to talk to etc.
Joya talked to joe and asked him for a picture. I get out my sidekick to take the picture and he was like " what the fuck is that?" he freaks out and has to come over and like hold it and touch it and stuff cause it has a skin on it. It was hilarious. He is so cute.
So then we were waiting to talk to danny. He goes to walk away and I like grab him and say "oh no, you're not getting away". Hahah he laughs and stops to talk to us. I tell him I liked the new song and that I was really excited about the tour with bayside, etc. We talk about venues and where they might be coming. I tell him to come back to south carolina and he asks when they were there last and joya being the creep she is hahah goes "MAY 21, 2006!!" shw looks down and he gives a wtf look. It was amazing. He says he's gotta go to the merch table but to come hang out.
So we go to leave because we are hungry and the trombone man frim monty are I stops us and we talk to him.
We leave and joya and I laugh the entire way home. The end.
And that almost took me half of the trip to charlotte to type because I am on my sidekick because we are on our way to fob. Yessss. Ok done.
