The Philippines has always been a country abundant in colorful traditions and cultural practices, one of the more vibrant ones being the observance of Holy Week. I'd say democracy is an ideal and not an objective. There will always be vested interests in any country's development.

But hope never fixes itself on certainty. There's still much that can be done and redone.

hey evs. 1) Democracy isn't ideal, it's based on ways and means to run a country, and thus it is objective. It is the IDEAL form of government, based on CONCRETE structures created to strengthen equality and achievement in a nation. That's why I said TRUE democracy, because at it's purest form -without these vested interests that you're saying -it is what a government should be. And I'm saying it's what OUR government should aspire for ( ... )
