Doctor: You'll feel a mosquito bite.
Me: Ok. (He applies the needle to my face. I feel a mosquito bite. He then starts to scrape at my face with something. I feel nothing but pressure and a trickle of something wet on my chin, most likely blood.)

Ages ago I had that done for a mole on my chin, except they stitched together the hole. Even absent the pain I remember feeling the sensation of the needle and the tugging of the thread as he stitched. The moles on the back of my neck he just sliced off -- I don't remember any cauterizing, though.

It will itch like mad later. Don't scratch. Good luck with that.
