Printmaking Frustrations!

Oct 16, 2006 18:30

So I have to make my 3rd print for Printmaking and I was hit with a major case of art block that's still plaguing me. It's really frustrating but I think I"ve worked through it. You lucky people, on the other hand, get to see all the pages of my unfinished/abandoned printmaking ideas.

let's take a look )

Jim and Lorne and company are so gosh-darn cute it's near diabetic.

I think Johnny Thunderfingers up there looks just fine, shut your damn mouth. Ha, Bowie! Yeah, he's always good subject matter for weird and/or freaky images, heh heh. One thing, though, you'd have to make his lower half just as curvy and muscular and things, too. Bowie was known for having good hips and extraordinarily good legs for a man, haha.

Rubber gloves are so amusing when you're a kid.

I'm glad you're going with the last sketch, 'cause seriously it has the most energy/life/interest of all of these. THEIR LITTLE FACES ARE SO ADORABLE, MAN.

I would fully support you writing a short illustrated story/comic about Jim and Lorne as wee-ones. The fact that it would just be your childhood but with a gryphon cub and ghost dog running around would make it all the more enjoyable. Plus, you have a knack for drawing adorable scenes with kids running around. Those last three sketches = hella awesome.

Here's a secret: When I was a kid I had all sorts of little critter imaginary friends that I ran around the woods with on a daily basis.

Don't nobody tell me I didn't have the best childhood ever.
