I stepped on my pin magnet. After pulling three pins out of the bottom of my foot, I figured I update the Journal while I wait for bleeding to cease. I continue to be impressed with this linen. My flat felling is amazingly even--it folds like paper. I hope its tough (I'm pretty hard on shirts.)

I love/hate shirts.

All they are is a bunch of squares and rectangles. Simple to make, right up to the part where you have nine miles of flat-felling to do. I got some great linen from B&T www.burnleyandtrowbridge.com/  So crisp that, even after washing it makes a tiny popping sound when the needle goes through. I decided to follow the pattern directions for the 19th Century trousers, which is a change for me. It looked like a more period method, and new techniques will keep me on my toes.
