Name: drusillas_rain

I'm a: writer, crafter and other

My level of participation will likely be: sometimes participating in a group, actively participating in a group, cheerleading others, actively leading a group

I'm a freelancer, and I have weeks of crazy, but I will commit to this if others are game.

I think a weekly post on drusillas_rain's lj to collect people's weekly wordcount is sufficient: yes (but this isn't my fave option since it can get very impersonal very quickly)

I would like a new community with a weekly discussion post (and with questions to prompt answers): yes - I think that with simple questions that change from week to week, this could be really helpful (a start-up group I'm involved in right now changes the question every time we meet - everything from "What did you struggle with this week" to "What did you think was clever of you to figure out", etc.)

I would like a weekly set time for a group chat via IM: If we could find a day/time to do this, I think it would be awesome.

What day/time/timezone would you prefer an IM ( ... )

Whoops, I meant to comment on that last post, but I forgot once I went to work. :P I had wanted to let you know it was a great idea, and that I've been wanting to join such a group, but the one I've tried starting IRL fell through because of conflicting schedules.

My level of participation will likely be: sometimes participating in a group or actively participating in a group (depending on my schedule), cheerleading others

I think a weekly post on drusillas_rain's lj to collect people's weekly wordcount is sufficient: I like the idea of a community more.

I would like a new community with a weekly discussion post (and with questions to prompt answers): That would be great!

I would like a weekly set time for a group chat via IM: that would be good if the time/times are possible for most people.

What day/time/timezone would you prefer an IM chat with a group? I'm on the West coast (california) and my schedule is odd most of the time, so I couldn't really give a specific time.

Oh, would there be limitations on things as far as, fanfics vs. original fiction and ratings? Just want to know what I should be prepared for. Thanks!
I don't think there would be any limitations - I think it's more about encouraging people to be productive.

I'm a: (writer, artist, crafter, personal/other) writer, artist, crafter, knitter, cat-mother, chaos-magnet, girl, goof-ball, sewer (why is it called a sewIST now, fercrissake?), grammar purist, and a generalist.

My level of participation will likely be: (lurking on a group, sometimes participating in a group, actively participating in a group, cheerleading others, actively leading a group) actively participating in a group, possibly leading a group, definitely cheerleading any and everyone.

I think a weekly post on drusillas_rain's lj to collect people's weekly wordcount is sufficient: y/n No. I think it's not a great idea to pester poor Drusilla in her personal journal.

I would like a new community with a weekly discussion post (and with questions to prompt answers): y/n Yes, I think a separate community is the right choice. I have a paid account, and will probably be keeping it, so if we want to use that (so we can have polls although I'm not sure we'd need them), let me know.

My level of participation will likely be: Attempting to participate well, and cheerleading!

I think a weekly post on drusillas_rain's lj to collect people's weekly wordcount is sufficient: If everyone else wanted it, I have no objections but it'd be kind of low activity, I guess...

I would like a new community with a weekly discussion post (and with questions to prompt answers): Sounds like fun!

I would like a weekly set time for a group chat via IM: Sure, it could be a pretty cool activity!

What day/time/timezone would you prefer an IM chat with a group? Not Thursdays, if possible. I'm open every other day, but I'm never in Thursdays. I'm in Central Time US, so on Texas time, but I can stay up late or get up early.

Further thoughts: This sounds awesome! I'm excited to see how it'll be set up, especially on the art and writing front.
