Hi guys, it's bafleyanne. Todd called me around midnight last night to let me know that he was still about 2.5 hours out of his destination of Columbus, GA. He told me that it took him about 4 hours to get from Gulfport to Mobile, AL. ...we're on the road and heading for Columbus, GA. Mom gets off work at 3, then we'll quickly load up the car and we're out of here.

I just pray we have something to come *back* to.

Katrina now has maximum sustained winds of 175 mph. While I don't think she can sustain it for that long, we're still gettin' out of dodge. My brother's off work at 12, and depending on what happens with my mom, we'll be on the road.

I'll update until I leave.

Once my mother and brother get off of work, we're leaving.

My mother's friend said for us to come on (pets and all) and we're welcome to stay. So, we're going.

We just can't take the chance of being here for a Cat 5. I always said if a Cat 5 was coming, I was leaving, so we are.

As of the 7 a.m. advisory, Katrina is now a Category 5 hurricane, with winds of 160 mph.

We're discussing leaving right now.

A special 1 a.m. CDT advisory:

Hurricane Katrina is now a Category 4, with sustained winds of 145 mph.

She's gonna be a bad one.

Hurricane Katrina's coming. It's too close for comfort and right now, New Orleans look to take a direct hit from the storm. We're going to have bad weather from Katrina if she doesn't change course.
