The only way Eva could decribe how she felt in the wake of what she saw on the balcony was discontent. Hugging she understood, for sure. "Well, hey there gorgeous," Rick croaked as he say up a little in his bed. He'd been dozing on and off for a while now but thoughts of his brother kept him from falling asleep completely. He gave Eva a smile and waved for her to come in. "I'm just here to make the place look pretty. Figured it could do with some more hot people that weren't doctors."

"You clearly haven't seen Jose the janitor then." Eva whistled as she came into his room and fanned herself. "That is some Spanish genes I wouldn't mind a piece of. Shame he's as gay as George Michael in spandex." She watched him in concern as she approached his bed, glancing around to see if there was any signs of Chris having been there. "You look terrible," she told him quietly.

"Jose? I'll just have to watch out for him, won't I? Guys don't usually do it for me, but there's always a first time, right?" Rick stretched in the bed and bit back a wince as he looked back at her. "He's already gone. He's had his brotherly quota for today. Thanks. I didn't want to say anything, but you're not looking too great yourself."

Eva cleared her throat and perched on the visitor's chair beside the bed. "Feeling the pinch of life being too short already, huh? That's a fair change from the delusion I saw in you last time. But those wake up calls can come as quite a knock." She sighed softly and nodded. "I've hardly spoken to him today. Was he okay? He didn't even tell me you were here, I had to hear from Tuck. I feel like I'm getting the cold shoulder, not sure I should even be here. I'm not intruding, am I?"
