DS9 Discussion Post 4x20: 'Shattered Mirror'

1. It becomes clear from this episode that in the Mirror Universe, Jake was never born. Is it possible for the two universes to continue running as closely parallel as they have been, given this sort of thing?
2. Why did Jennifer need to kidnap Jake in order to lure Sisko, when she could just ask him how to fix the Defiant? Before Sisko went above and beyond the call of duty, the only thing they needed from him was information.
3. Most of the alternate versions of the crew get something to do in this episode - who are your favourites and how have they developed since their first appearances?
4. What are your thoughts on the Jake and Jennifer storyline, and the dangers of meeting alternate versions of family and friends (deceased or otherwise)?
