Title: Benton Fraser
Author: mizface
Pairing: Fraser/RayK (or gen I guess, but that's not how I see it)
Rating: G
Word count: 306
Genre: filk

Summary: I saw this challenge and absolutely could not resist pairing Henry Martin (thank you, Figgy Duff and the second dS CD) with an overview of the series. Because this is how my brain works.

Author's Notes: Coming up with titles is HARD!!!

There were two policemen in Chicago town,
In Chicago town there were two
And they did partner with a Mountie and wolf (deaf wolf, half wolf)
This is their story, ‘tis odd but it’s true.

First to meet Benton Fraser was Ray Vecchio,
A good-hearted cop was he
So when Fraser did come, his dad’s killers to find (to find, to find)
Ray did his best to help Ben the Mountie.

Now they did partner on many a case
One had Ben in a woman’s guise,
Until came the time when Fraser did go home (go home, go home)
And when he returned he had quite a surprise.

"Hello, friend Ben," cried a strange, fair-haired man.
Oh who could this imposter be?
"Your Vecchio’s been sent to fair Sin City (undercover is he),
And if you please, I’m pretending I’m he."

"Oh no, oh no," cried Benton Fraser,
"This deception it never can be.
With your hair and your clothes and your not as long nose (and I’ve measured, I know)
No one will ever believe you are he.”

“Just give me a chance and I’ll prove it, I can.
They all will believe I am he.
I’ve done it before; I am good at my job (my job, my job)
And by the way, my name’s Ray Kowalski."

So this new Ray and Fraser became a duet
Solved cases as odd as could be.
Be it pirates or voodoo, or dead guys in walls (in the 2-7’s walls)
Followed ‘round by Bob’s ghost, “advising” Ben freely.

And came then the time when all hell it broke loose
With both Rays, the Bolts boys and more.
There were shootings and plane jumps, a nuclear sub (What - a sub? Yes, a sub.)
Buck, Thatcher, and Turnbull and Mounties galore.

Then news to Vecchio in Chicago came,
Be happy for Ben and Ray K,
They’re on an Adventure finding Franklin’s Hand (his outreaching hand),
And together they always will stay.
