Hee! That was truly bad. I think I like the chapel - which the Consulate had but Ray had never seen before - best of all. No, take that back, Frannie on top of the limo wielding her bouquet like a club, now that's an image.

*wipes tears from eyes*

That was beautiful!! Ray's ability to read Dief's body language! Dief's ears betraying him! Fraser's inability to use contractions! Turnbull in peach chiffon (and OVER the uniform)! The wild pursuit! Florists and caterers and Italians, oh my! The priest mistaking homosexuality for vampirism! Dief hypnotizing nearly *everybody*!

Favorite bits:

Eventually, he decided to call Fraser. Fraser was a Mountie, who first came to Chicago on the trail of the killers of his father. For reasons that didn’t need exploring, he had remained, attached as liaison to the Canadian Consulate. So when Ray called Fraser, he really called the Consulate.

I love that both because you put in the whole FRTDNEATJ *and* because the last sentence just rocks!

Ray’s name wasn’t really Vecchio; he was undercover as Detective Vecchio. But he really was a Detective. Just with a different name.

This! Made me laugh.

Ray stopped himself before he said, “mine,” because he was probably gay too, only in a sexy, manly way, unlike ( ... )

Hee! Glad you liked it. I was OK with the long prompt, once I realized I could just pick out the parts of it I wanted to use. (I was sad not to include Turnbull's singing, but it just didn't fit. I think he was going to do Ave Maria after the vows, but he didn't get his chance.)

Thank you for your prompt! When I saw it I was so hoping someone would run with it. alex51324 did a great job - I laughed myself to pieces over this. :D

You're welcome! The prompt was really fun to write (I apparently have a huge affinity for badfic). And alex did the BEST job with it!!!

Tee hee! I love the first for its meta funniness and the second I just love... :)

“Constable Fraser’s wedding to Miss Vecchio. Oh, it’s so exciting,” Turnbull gushed, because he was not too bright and probably gay.

“What? Fraser can’t be getting married! He’s--” Ray stopped himself before he said, “mine,” because he was probably gay too, only in a sexy, manly way, unlike Turnbull who was gay in a humorous way. “Never said anything,” he finished instead.

and

“Something’s queer,” Ray said.

“Turnbull,” Welsh answered. “But don’t say anything-I don’t want to have to get the sensitivity training guys in again.”

Diefenbaker’s tail said, “I don’t know,” but his ears said, “Because I hypnotized him.”

This entire story fills me with glee. And giggles.
