I love how the psychiatrist in cesperanza's Eight Sessions describes RayK:
"Ray's very resilient, as I'm sure you know. He's like an emotional gymnast-fear, anger, hate, loathing, joy, love, dismount, and the Russian judges give him a 9.8."

This made me think of a story I haven't read in some time, because I remember when reading it there was a line that made my Fraser-love surge up.

Ray Vecchio grinned and shrugged. "It's a funny thing, Fraser, but people don't seem to ask a lot of questions these days. Just what exactly did you do to them while I was in Vegas, huh? Mass hypnosis? Maybe voodoo?"

"Interestingly," Fraser began.

"Wrong," Ray Kowalski said. "It might be interestingly later, but right now it's not interesting-anything until we get into a room with walls. Walls and floors. And heat."

It's from joandarck's Four Totally Alternate Endings That Very Seriously Did Not Happen. The author conveniently analyzed the feeling I got: I think there's a sincerity to his... um... sincerity that's really appealing. I mean, even late in the series, he's still capable of getting abstractly interested in something and not realizing other people aren't. Yes, I think that's it. *loves on him*
