Episode of the week: 4x07, "Mountie Sings the Blues"

Apr 06, 2007 00:08

Time for another episode of due South! This week we are singing along with "Mountie Sings the Blues".

  1. Turnbull and Frannie had a DATE! ...sort of! How would you feel about a potential relationship between those two? Does Frannie really feel something for Turnbull, or is she just being polite?
  2. Country music: is it "the poetry of the people: unaffected, heartfelt", or "nothing but pickup trucks, trains, and donkeys"? What did you think of the various songs used in this episode?
  3. On a related note, what's your opinion of Fraser's (and/or Paul Gross's) musical abilities?
  4. When examining the letters from Tracy's stalker, Fraser goes into detail about how the writing indicates that the author is someone with psychopathic tendencies, and he sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Do you think he had special instruction in this area at some point, maybe as part of his RCMP training? Or is it something he just picked up from books and independent research, like a lot of his other knowledge?
