Nope. I live in Singapore.... And have work. He only just told me the dates today. I have one of those weeks off, but I don't really want to spend it in Israel.

Well, my problem is that most of my traveling was done before I was old enough to really understand that I needed/wanted to see the stuff I saw. And now that I'm older, I realize that I really and truly don't believe I'll ever seen any of the stuff I learn about in school or the stuff you tell me about. Like, I never thought I'd see Rome. And I defiantly don't think I'll ever see things like the Great Wall or whatever.

I guess what I'm saying is that I can't plan ahead by monuments, and I just see things that I see. I choose places by where I feel like going and where people tell me I should go.

Yeah, I clearly travel by "where I feel like going" both on the grand scale of Which continent will I go to tomorrow, and the lesser scale of which country/city/building/naturey thing will I go to today. However, my where I feel like going is somewhat affected by which things I really want to see. Obviously its not just that list, cause otherwise I'd just go straight to those places, but, for instance, I'll probably go to Cambodia for my break in June, cause I'm in Asia, its close/cheap/easy to get to, and I really really want to see Angkor Wat.

Just cause you don't ever expect to see them, doesn't mean you can't think about which things when mentioned make you go "Wow, I'd love to see that!!" And you can include things you've already seen, if you feel like you were too young to appreciate them at the time.

But my problem is I really don't think like that. I wanted to go to Rome because I wanted to go somewhere. When I got there I was blown away by everything and felt a little stupid for not picking it for that reason, but I really didn't.

Maybe I just don't have enough experience traveling by myself to know for sure, but I think if I go somewhere to see something specific, I'm 10x more likely to be disappointed. I have to psych it down in my head.

I'm kinda the same way, I generally try to keep my expectations down, and this idea of a top x list, really is brand new, and mostly cause I tend to say (for all things, music, movies, books, etc.) that something is on my top x list, and then list like 20 things that are on my top 5 list. But then I realized for man-made travely things, I really do have a top 5 list, so I wrote it down. I'm not just going to Cambodia for Angkor Wat. I'm going because I think Cambodia will be a good place to go. That Angkor Wat is there is icing on the cake. Equally, I plan on spending like 4-6 months in S. America. I'm not going to just go for Machu Pichu, but I will make sure I see it while I'm there ( ... )

Okay, I've decided my top five:
Caves

The end.

This is meant to be a list of man made things you want to see. My list of natural stuff is quite different.

Some caves are man made!

And lava doesn't count as people?

Fine. You can count those. And no, lava doesn't count as people. Neither does millions of years of water....
