Interesting evening
So, I finally found out what happened to Ricks:
The manager at Ricks left in 2004 to pursue his own Strip Club. He opened The Seville. His name is Dino.
I have been asked to be the best man for an upcoming wedding. I was asked last year. I agreed, and thus had the bachelor party last night.
I can only say this, I felt at home again. The Seville is everything that Rick's used to be. Good music, good dancers, and good times.
We had dinner at a Mexican Restaurant, the bachelor likes Mexican food. We then proceeded to get on a Party Bus whose driver was from Uruguay. I spoke Spanish, and we got along famously. I had called the Seville only yesterday, because work has been super busy and I have really been fairly busy. I spoke with the manager, explained that I was a former VIP member of Ricks and that I had been fairly dissatisfied with my past 3 visits.
That's when he told me that during the years that I really liked Ricks, he was the one managing it.
So, today I called him up and tell him that I'm bringing a bus load of guys for a bachelor party. 14 to be exact. He says, not a problem. Tells me he'll have an area setup in the main area and that we would get in Gratis. Seems like even after a few years away, I still have a little bit of pull in the Cities.
Dinner went great, even if we had a little bit too much time there. We could have started dinner at 8 and have been fine with a 9:30pm pickup. The party bus get's there, and is really nice. We all climb on board, have a few beers on route to The Seville. So, we get to the Seville, and Dino is at the front door, waiting for us. I re-introduce myself to him and realize that he is the one that I originally signed up with for my VIP membership at Ricks.
Ok, so we walk into this place and all of the sudden, I feel at home again. The music is right, the dancers are aplenty and things are just vibing correctly. Dino does indeed have a very nice area setup for us. We get our drinks, we get the feel of the land and viola, I'm transported back to the other best bachelor party that I have been to. Dino then comes back, makes sure all is good and gives me a tour of the place.
A complete tour of all aspects of The Seville. We walk around, he tells me what he has done to make it the way it is, and I'm just loving all that he has done. The VIP area extends to an upstairs. This doesn't do much in the way of seeing the dancers downstairs on stage, but it's very homely and private without being too private.
Let's just say, seeing 10 (mainly) strangers see me get a private tour, well....
Other aspects: I'm witnessing again, some of the dancers can actually dance. They are friendly in a non-pushy way, engaging, and very attractive.
I had a dancer "Get" the type of dance that I liked. She wasn't my first or 2nd choice for a dance but she will be in the future.
the bed is calling, I need to be up in 4 hours, and I'll write more after my inspection of my place.
