Red Came Home Today But

Red got to come home from his stay at the Vet this morning, along with three medications. The Vet got the results from the tests he'd done and called me about a half hour ago to say that my little boy has ROCKY MOUNTAIN SPOTTED FEVER. I'm not going to do a search for it's effect on dogs as I do not want to be burdened with fear, so I'm just going

Dear friend, Red is doing better daily, but today (june8) he started running a little fever again. I will be playing nurse over the rest of the weekend and if he doesn't get over this by Tuesday I will be calling the Vet again.
Ruby, as you know, was also DX'd with the same illness, but she seems to be getting better faster than Red is...BUT, that makes sense as she was DX'd and on meds must faster than Red was.
Thank you so much for asking. We dog people are a bit obsessive about our furry babies, but understand each other, don't we?
