This is cool, I am proud to share a marquee with you.

The drink is half full and pressure cooker vignettes in particularly resonate with me. There is so much good in humanity and so much evil fighting against it, simply out of selfishness or to make a dollar.

You already heard my thoughts on yours so I won't repeat them here other than to echo you on saying I'm happy to share writing duties with you. :) Thanks for agreeing on the intersection!

And I'm glad you happened to like mine as well.

cheers,
Phil

Pretty nifty and interesting how you created your title and entry from a little word association game. Enjoyed reading all the ideas. :)

The word association thing was the only way I could make "the straw that stirs the drink" interesting. I think it's a ridiculous phrase (actually, not the first time it's happened this season). So I co-opted it with my own evil ends. :)

Glad you liked the results! Thanks.

Phil

I remember that World Series too :) Oh so fondly. What a Game 7, seriously.

I like the way the connected-but-disparate structure complements m_malcontent's entry.

You *would* have liked the results. Stupid Twins. :) Stupid Kirby Puckett. :) I kid, though -- the Twins just wanted it more than we did, that year and I had nothing but respect for 'em.

Glad you liked this collection of vignettes! Thanks.

The glass is always full part liquid then remainder with air. But I am not a Pessimist. I, too expect the worst; if it happens, I am prepared if not, a pleasant surprise. I call this being a realist.

I enjoyed your entry very much. Well done.

You get where I'm coming from, then. I often say exactly that -- that I'm a realist, not a pessimist. Most people don't agree with me, though. :)

Glad you liked this one! Thanks, as always, for coming by.

cheers,
Phil

Thanks! I really struggled with the idea of making that phrase interesting, but just couldn't until I hit on the idea of chaining several of the phrases together. I'm happy you enjoyed it.

And thanks for dropping by!
cheers,
Phil
