Hey! That sounds amazing! In my opinion, salsa and cooking lessons totally trump castles and museums vistis like we did for the cultural part of my study abroad. Have you met your host family yet? Keep writing about your experiences down there! Oh and guess what? Got a B in Existentialism! Yay me

of course I´ve met my host family! I live with them! It´s only a lady (a grandmother) but her daughter and grandchildren live a couple places down, so we see them pretty often and that´s cool. I agree that learning all this cultural stuff is better than all the sightseeing! In fact, we get to do both! So hurrah! And guess what...got an A in Existentialism (and everything else!) :-)

Nice job! I knew you would. Sounds like you got a pretty nice setup down there. I was asking if you met your host family because when I went to France they had us stay in a hotel for the first 4-5 days. On the day we met them we all sat in the hotel lobby as one by one families arrived and were united with their students. It felt a little like waiting to be adopted lol
