I'm rewatching "Changing Channels"
So the Trickster has always been Gabriel, right? I mean, ever since the first Trickster episode ("Tall Tales", IIRC?) it's been Gabriel pretending to be the Trickster, yes? That confused me when I first watched "Changing Channels" - I wasn't sure if it had been Gabriel all along or just for that episode. But he talks about going into 'his own personal Witness Protection' or whatever he says, and he mentions something about taking such an interest in Sam and Dean all along. So we've never actually seen a real Trickster, just Gabriel posing as the Trickster. Right?
