Victoria is turning itself into a pile of cinders; north Queensland, in the meantime, has more water than it knows what to do with. At times like this, I think this continent has a self-loathing problem. Or is seriously misanthropic.

One of my flisties from Sydney mother is in the vicinity of a fire, and I'm stressed for her, another one is in the outskirts of Ballarat, and on fire alert.
I think I'm glad to be in Brisbane.

Maybe you should get working on tilting your country slightly up at the north so the water could flow down and stop the fires?
Just a suggestion. Get ye some stilts.

ps: am safe. very safe. fires are 2,000km south. flooding is 1,200km north. (And here I am, stuck in the middle with you).
