So, I've been thinking about VM fic since you've been posting about it so much and I can't stop thinking about theohara's alternate season 2. It's an eternal WIP, so maybe you skipped over it in your big fic discovery extravaganza? Anyway, that fic makes me sigh more about what-could-have-been than anything else in the universe. Sorry, just had to get that out and since you're the one who infected me with all these FEELINGS, you'll just have to bear the brunt of it.

And I think I read theohara's virtual S2 waaay back then, but I don't really remember it at all. Found links on her memories, will add them to the pile of other links I already got. THANKS. :)

I hope you have a great time during Carnival! Your mentioning that just got me on the weirdest tangential thought path, but I guess it's because the film won two BAFTAs last night - I'm sure you must have seen the Senna film at some point in the past year? Thinking of Carnival just put it in my head, I guess because there's a brief scene in it of Ayrton at Carnival, haha.

And yeah, I know about the Senna film, but I didn't want to watch it, because I kinda think my heart can't take it. I don't even like looking at pictures of him because I get really really sad.

I'm looking forward to seeing what fics end up standing out for you! There were a lot of stories that I liked at the time, but I have no idea if they hold up over time after years have passed.

I packed a whole bunch of fics on my Kindle, so I'll start adding the ones I like to Delicious once I've been through them all -- and deleted the stuff I didn't much care for. But I'm starting to think most fics really held up to the time passed, much as the show -- well, season 1 -- did too.
