This wasn't an easy conversation to have. Poor Peter. But bravo to him for realizing it had to be done. And for showing Donna more respect that he gave Natalie. Trying to "protect" someone by lying to them, or hiding the truth, is never a good idea.
I understand his natural fear that, if Donna learns of the "assault" by Dr. Smith, she wouldn't see Peter in the same way. But Peter, dear. You do not give your a ghrá geal enough credit, nor do you trust the love you have together. You need to work on that.
I am glad (but not surprised) that she opted to delete the number. She has told him repeatedly that she doesn't care about the past, and asked him to leave it alone. To be fair, her past came to him and he had the good sense to tell her all about it immediately. I shudder to think what would have happened if he had waited until he had moved in with her to reveal this bombshell
