I'd like to say this was a 'good faith' overreaction to the brick throwing and window smashing by miscreants during the protests, but apparently they've had inside folk since May. That in itself doesn't surprise me; it's a common tactic. It does however suggest a certain level of premeditation.

I don't mind the "informants" so much as I mind the actions taken. I've yet to read anything that at all justifies the "reaction" by the FBI/Police.
