Not only is Insurance a scam, it doesn't guarantee treatment. theferrett has some entries that I'm having trouble finding at the moment, detailing his sister's (I think) problems with the insurance industry. The short version is she needed expensive treatment, then insurance company decided it would be more cost effective to drag out her claim to see if she'd die first.

The Brooklyn Bridge isn't a scam, it's one of the most solidly built bridges in the country. Or are you implying that all Brooklyners are con artists?
