Let's consider this my very very very late submission to pilotsbigbang. Also a X-mas present for sisabet. (Sorry? *g*)

Also, since work bought me one, I figured I might as well start making iPod-ready versions too. ;)

Super effective surprise POV shift! I was like, oh, hey, another Starbuck-to-Pink vid! Gosh, I love those. And then I was headtilting a little at some of the framing and choices, and by the end I was getting a little suspicious because something felt off, and then OH WELL IT WAS LEE'S BRAIN ALL ALONG! And then that made me wide-eyed and impressed and I went back and rewatched it as a Lee POV vid and suddenly everything fit and, seriously, I am very impressed by that! And then I came back here to see if anyone else was like HEY WHOA POV! and you yourself were saying that! And so, good job ( ... )

And it's also fascinating to me to realize how much of Lee's scenes are filmed very obviously from a Kara POV - we're closest to her face, to her expressions. When they kiss we see her face, not his; this made me really pause and reorient my focus to Lee, and to all of his expressions and mostly-turned away faces and oh, Lee.

YES. The show really works to get you to sympathize with Kara's internal state, but Lee tends to get more close ups when he's reacting--Kara's generally the one taking the actions. And then they still keep him turned away for things like the missing year in New Caprica when they kiss and he's actually the one that takes the initiative. Probably because we already know how Lee's going to react, but still. ;)
