One of the things I love about you is, you're one of the only people I've encountered who can be as arrogant about your own ineffectuality complex as I can -- except you do it in this magically detached faux-oblivious (fauxblivious?) PR-guy way that I couldn't swing in a million years. Still a good song, too, you not-untalented prick.

(as always, deduct 77% of how condescending this sounds and that'll be close to how condescending I actually meant for it to sound -- so take it down, mentally, from "alarmingly superior" to somewhere around "affectionately hair-ruffling.")

haha. the initial deduction was executed as usual. your initial comment made me laugh, in the aptness at the core of its verbiage. we'll see if my style of reportage changes if/when i ever make music i wholeheartedly love. of course, insecurity's a stubborn bugger.
