Day 11: Your Favorite Season (Classic or New)
This one is tougher than it ought to be, given there are some standouts in classic Who. Season 18 is enjoyed as a whole by many and sees a lot of changes to Who (new producer, two companions leaving while 3 new ones join, etc.), there are those who might prefer Season 16 (the Key to Time arc) or 23 (the Trial of a Time Lord arc) or others... but for me there's only one clear choice.
Season 7 was Pertwee's debut season and despite only having four stories it stands the test of time. Some amazing stories are in there including one of the strongest debuts of any Doctor (surpassed perhaps only by Hartnell, Troughton and Smith), and everything is amazing. Inferno is an absolute gem but so are Doctor Who and the Silurians and The Ambassadors of Death. The 7-part stories were maligned by Barry Letts, who was saddled with the format after he took over the reins partway through Silurians, but I personally don't care about the padding required for 7-parters. The core story in each is phenomenal.
