I had a bad day at work today. Sometimes we get the meanest, rudest people shopping at Michaels.
Ok, so I was ringing up this customer and she has this obnoxious son... who earlier dumped candy all over the floor... anyway, as i was ringing stuff up he starts coughing all over everything! The cash register, the merchandise, MY HANDS! Eww! And he's doing all of this on purpose. Like he's forcing himself to cough! So then I ask him, "can you please stop coughing all over everything." And I said it as politely as I could. The mom wasn't paying attention and asked me what I said. So I repeated it. Then she says, "oh yeah, he has a bit of a germ thing going on." (what the heck does that mean!?) So then I finish with them and they leave. Then I walk out to go bring in the sidewalk and she's out there complaining to Carrie that I was extremely rude to her and that I THREW (!) her receipt at her!! Oh my gosh, that lady is crazy! She made it seem like I had told her son to stop coughing just because he was coughing. I'm not going to tell some little kid to stop coughing... this little boy was doing it on purpose and coughing all over me! And then she looks over at me and tells me that I work in a public place and that if I'm afraid of germs then to stay home. That lady is stupid! She can go ahead and tell the store manager. Carrie said that she's on my side and would have told the kid to stop coughing all over everything too.
