I took no Bardic courses. It isn't that I don't think that I have anything else to learn, but I couldn't find any that weren't beginner and that fit my schedule ( Read more... )

We have had this miscommunication problem before and I don't completely understand it. We seem to get along fine in real life, or at least I think we do. I really don't harbor you any ill will. I admire you in many ways. I don't understand why you assume that I purposely write things to cause you pain. If there are two ways to interpret ANYTHING I write, one of which seems insulting and one of which is just neutral, believe me I meant the non-insulting one ( ... )

I *love* Comedia, and did a project in high school about it. Despite my performance anxiety, I would love the chance to be in something like that. Masks help, and I have a friend who I can probably borrow some from.

- Louis Berger

I'm only a bard on the inside, since on the outside I'm too nervous. Performing for one or two people sounds infinately better to me!

Ditto, Dubh - if you ran a Commedia item for adults net year at Practicum I'd be totally interested in participating.

(I'd say at Hare, but I'll be out of town the Hare weekend)

Right now, I am already planning 3 (count them 3) courses for Practicum. I am not planning a Commedia for Practicum 2010, although if someone else did, I would take a small part ... or watch with excitement.

This is exciting that 2 people have come forward to say they want to do Commedia.

We did one at Practicum 2004. Cristabell directed and the actors were Wilhelm, May, Gabrielle, and myself. We didn't have masks. Alais had been keen to help make them, but it didn't happen for a reason I can't remember.

If anyone organizes something, all the people mentioned above should be given an opportunity to participate. Also, Countess Susanna should be contacted. She was involved in a Commedia at Pennsic.

Now I need to ask two things. Can I get a copy of your Line of Skraeling Althing for the history I am puttering at? Can I get a copy of the poem you wrote for Eric? I would like to hear you recite both at Hare, if not before. I think they would be awesome additions and very appropriate for Hare XXX.

I can send you the Lineage of Skaeling Althing if I get an email address for you. Normally, I dislike sending poetry on the internet since I feel like my stuff should be heard and not read. However, it was published in the Tidings.

Erec's poem is different. I'm not sure if Lucia wants to surprise him (we are discussing this in an unlocked post), but I don't think it should go anywhere until Erec sees it. Talk to her. If she sends you a copy, it is fine with me.

My address is lastname.firstname@sympatico.gc.ca. I must have missed the lineage in the Tidings. I'm happy to wait until after investiture for Erec's, as it's just to add to the history. Thanks.

The address is wrong. I mixed it up with my work addy. Should be lastname.firstname.sympatico.ca. In case of doubt, I'm in the Tidings or on the Ealdormere webpage as the media relations officer, and the address given there kicks directly to my home email.
