What an eerie silence. Did the sudden darkness leave a deeper chill in our hearts than we expected? Or has everyone here completely embarrassed themselves speechless since Christmas? Well! Perhaps a little story will cheer everyone here up a little, or at least pull a few of you out of hiding.

Is one of them eleven? [Because it's the only number he can think of that would look the same if cut in half, top and bottom. ...but then the older sister would have to be 22. Which wouldn't work out if only one year ago she had been 20, to go along with the sister that was 10. ...Taking out a notebook now!]

Not quite! Remember, you have to split the older sister's age in half to get the younger sister's age. It's not going to work if they're the same age.

Asking questions is completely acceptable. As for the words themselves, I wouldn't say there's a trick meaning to the numbers involved, though the words used in the puzzle are a way to discern its answer.

Would you prefer a more chaotic time? I could HAPPILY give puzzles as people are dying in the streets, including myself. ((ahhh text sarcasm))
