I read Deathly Hallows today. I'll hear nothing to the contrary, it's Rowling's finest bit of writing, and despite leading the reader by the nose through the plot (understandably necessary, given the breadth of her audience) it is the best ending to a fantasy series one could ever hope to encounter ( Read more... )

No way, fuck the ending. Well... fuck the epilogue. that was the worst thing I have ever read in my life.

Fuck that! No way. Dozens of people died. I don't care if it is 19 years later. Don't sugarcoat life like that. Up until that point I felt that Rowling had been entirely honest with her readers, and I felt lied to when I finished the epilogue.
